29er

Class History:
http://www.29ernorthamerican.org/29er/history.asp

Constructed of glass reinforced polyester and designed by Julian Bethwaite of Australia, the 29'er is a youth skiff class. It weighs 90 kg all up (sails included). It is 4.4 m in length and 1.7 m wide. All the equipment has a single-source. This means that all the tooling for the molds comes from AUS, and all of the gear comes from a single source, thus keeping costs down. The combined sail area of the main and jib is 13.19 square meters and the asymmetrical spinnaker is 16.83 square meters. The ideal weight range is between 270 - 320 lbs.
