The Salve Regina Sailing Team sails in 420s out of Sail Newport, located at Fort Adams State Park, approximately 3 miles off campus. They sail both in Newport Harbor and further out in Narragansett Bay, so races are held in a variety of conditions - everything from big waves, breeze, and current, to flat water and light and shifty. In 2008 they were a co-host of the ICSA National Spring Championships, which were held using their boats and home waters.
