BARNEGAT BAY
New Jersey

Barnegat Bay is a small, brackish arm of the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 30 miles long, along the coast of Ocean County, New Jersey.  It is essentially a long estuary formed by Barnegat Peninsula, a long barrier peninsula, as well as by the north end of Long Beach Island. The bay is fed by several small rivers, including the Toms River and Metedeconk River, which empty into the bay through small estuaries along its inner shore. (As written on Wikipedia)  The bay is part of the Intracoastal Waterway.
Barnegat Bay Yacht Racing Association is the Regional Sailing Association (RSA) of 14 sailing yacht clubs located around the waters of Barnegat Bay in New Jersey. They host an active One Design Sailing championship race series each summer, as well as coordinating many other sailing and related events in the area.  To see a list of local area yacht clubs, click here.
